Biography

Luming studied Art History at New York University (B.A., summa cum laude, phi beta kappa) and Columbia University (M.A.). At Cambridge she is writing a dissertation on the elements of joke and humor in early sixteenth-century German art, funded by the Cambridge Trust. Her research interests include folklore, popular culture, sayings and proverbs, books and humanism, drawings, early woodcuts and engravings, and early Netherlandish painting.
