* Upcoming Outreach Event: 'How to be an author, art historian, art critic and all-round hack': a talk for all those considering a career in arts writing with Laura Freeman of The Times

The University of Cambridge Department of History of Art is dedicated to making Art History accessible to everyone. We run a series of programmes for Year 12 students considering studying Art History at University, as well as broader programmes for students of all ages interested in engaging in the discipline.

It’s important to know that you don’t need to be studying Art History A Level in order to study Art History at Cambridge. Our students were studying a wide range of different subjects before they discovered that History of Art was a perfect fit for them- you could be next!

If you’ve got any questions about studying Art History or our outreach programme- Get in touch via outreach@aha.cam.ac.uk – we want to hear from you!

Academics and students from History of Art explain what the subject involves and aspect they particularly enjoy about studying in Cambridge. This includes a visit to Kettle’s Yard, Kettle’s Yard is a beautiful House with a remarkable collection of modern art and a gallery that hosts modern and contemporary art exhibitions.
