Department of History of Art
Aisha Lovise Maud Bornø is a PhD candidate in the Department of History of Art at the University of Cambridge. She is supervised by Professor Rosalind Polly Blakesley, and is funded by the Aker Scholarship. Her project focuses on Scandinavian women artists in and around the Parisian avant-garde in the early twentieth century.
Aisha obtained her BA in History of Art (summa cum laude) from Wellesley College. She completed her MPhil in History of Art at the University of Cambridge in 2018, funded by the Aker Scholarship. Her research interests include Scandinavian modernisms, hybrid aesthetics and cross-cultural exchange, and writing feminist art histories.
