Biography

Jessica received her BA from Amherst College, an MPhil from Cambridge University, and her PhD from Columbia University, where she also served as a Core Lecturer in Art Humanities.  Prior to returning to Cambridge she was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard University (2015-16) and Assistant Professor at the American University of Paris (2016-18).  Her research focuses on the intersection of religious traditions and pictorial innovation in Renaissance Italy, and she is currently completing a monograph on the Florentine painter Jacopo Pontormo.
