The Department would like to congratulate Dr Jennifer Powell on her appointment as the new Director of the Barber Institute of Fine Arts and Barber Professor of Fine Arts.

Jennifer will take up her duties as Director of the Barber Institute and Barber Professor of Fine Arts on 9 January 2023 and we wish her well in her new role.

Jennifer began her curatorial career at the V&A before becoming Assistant Curator of Modern British Art at Tate Britain in 2010. She moved the University of Cambridge as Head of Collections, Programme and Research at Kettle's Yard and Lecturer in History of Art in 2013.
