Dr Hallquist took up her position as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art History in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Southern Indiana on 6 August 2025.
Dr Hallquist completed her Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Anthropology at The University of Alabama before obtaining her MPhil in the History of Art and Architecture at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge. In July 2025, she obtained her PhD in the History of Art at Trinity Hall, Cambridge.
Alongside her teaching responsibilities, Dr Hallquist is continuing her research on the devotional use of illuminated manuscripts by late-medieval English Benedictine audiences and the placement of textiles in medieval volumes.
