Emeritus Professor Paul Binski has been shortlisted for the Alice Davis Hitchcock Medallion, a distinguished annual award presented by the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain. Established in 1959, the Medallion recognises an outstanding monograph that significantly advances the study or understanding of architectural history.

Eligible works must be authored by a British scholar or focus on the architectural history of the British Isles or the Commonwealth, and must have been published within the last two years. The winner will be announced at the Society’s Annual Lecture and Awards Ceremony later this year.

Past recipients of the Medallion include some of the most influential figures in the field, such as Sir Nikolaus Pevsner, Sir John Summerson, Dorothy Stroud, Hermione Hobhouse, and Mark Girouard—highlighting the prestige of this recognition.
