Department of History of Art

My research looks to visual culture at the intersection of health, sexuality, gender and race, with a particular focus on marginalised histories of the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic. I am interested in collaborative artistic practices and exhibition-making pertaining to feminist political organising, as well as photography, moving image and sculpture from the 1970s to the present day.
