Biography:

Background in Technical Art History (MA, Stockholm University, 2018-2020) with past research projects on painting on copper supports and the tempera revival in early 20th century Italy.  

 

Current project: Leonora Carrington and the Alchemy of Painting

Research Interests

I am researching the tempera revival by surrealist artists in the mid-20th century in relation to gender, materiality and alchemy, with a geographical focus on Mexico and the United States. I am particularly interested in what ways artistic materials and processes carry meaning.
