Find out more

The University’s Admissions Office provides detailed information about all undergraduate courses and the admissions process. You should also pay careful attention to individual college websites and prospectuses. If possible, it is extremely useful to attend a college or university open day. The next university open days, which will offer you the opportunity to meet members of staff and current students and to visit the department, as well as an introduction to some of Cambridge’s unique resources, will be on the 6th and 7th July 2017.

The Department also offers a number of History of Art masterclasses and taster days for Year 12 students throughout the year. More information on these can be found in the outreach section of our website. We also run bespoke school study days. If you are a teacher and have students who you think could benefit from a Cambridge History of Art study day, please email

If you have the opportunity, do visit significant buildings or art galleries and exhibitions that will help you think more about whether you might like to study the History of Art at degree level. You will also find it useful to explore some of the books listed here.

If you have any questions about studying History of Art at Cambridge, please email or call 01223 760110 – we’d be delighted to hear from you.
