The Department congratulates Prof. Deborah Howard on winning the Bainton History / Theology Prize for her book 'The Sacred Home in Renaissance Italy'

The book, which was published by Oxford University Press in 2018, was co-authored with Mary Laven (History) and Abigail Brundin (Modern and Medieval Languages).

The Roland H. Bainton Prize gives out four awards every year to the best books written that fulfil the criteria of 'being written in English dealing with three categories within the time frame of 1450-1660: Art and Music History, History and Theology, Literature, and Reference Works.'
