She will investigate the provenance and context of 14-15th-century Italian altarpieces and manuscripts from the Metropolitan Museum’s collection which were commissioned by the Augustinian friars. Krisztina is currently a third-year Ph.D candidate under the supervision of Dr Donal Cooper and her research project derives from her dissertation entitled 'The early artistic patronage of the Augustinian friars in central Italy (1256-ca. 1370)'. Krisztina's fellowship is jointly hosted by the Lehman Collection, and the Department of Medieval Art and the Cloisters. The Department congratulates her on this achievement.
