Simon Bradley

On Saturday 9 April Dr Simon Bradley will deliver the Annual Building History Lecture on ‘St Pancras Station: Architecture and Engineering’, followed by a wine reception.  Simon Bradley, who studied at Oxford under Sir Howard Colvin, is Joint Editor of The Buildings of England at Yale University Press.  His publications include a number of revised ‘Pevsner’ volumes, most recently Cambridgeshire (2014).  His special interests include the Gothic Revival, the work of George Gilbert Scott and British railway architecture, all of which feature in his book St Pancras Station (2007).  His The Railways: Nation, Network and People (2015), was serialised on Radio 4.  His most recent book is Churches, in the new Pevsner Introductions series, published in March 2016.

The lecture will be held in Fitzpatrick Hall, Queens’ College, at 6pm and will be followed by a wine reception in the college bar from 7.15pm onwards.  Both events are free and all are welcome to attend, no booking is required.
